Tie-breaker with a difference! - Cansaulim
On 18th
July 2010,the parish youth of Cansaulim organised a Tie-breaker with a difference, i.e having the men as well as the women participating as a team.
Every ward had to be comprised of a team consisting of four women and one married man. Although it rained cats and dogs on that very day, it was quite heartening to see the crowds thronging in for the event. There were sixteen teams that participated and what was expected to be a piece of cake, for the men defending the goal, turned out to be an evening of horror ,as the women blasted the net to glory. There was laughter as the men found themselves helpless at the goal but not to forget the tense moments, which kept everyone guessing as to who would be the winner of the day. In the end, the gutsy ward of Railway Station Buttem emerged as the champions.
