A Inter-Collegiate Management Event organized by Rosary College of commerce & Arts - Navelim
Impressions is a one day inter collegiate management event organized by the TYBBA students of Rosary College of Commerce & Arts. This one of a kind annual management event is a day of quizzes, presentations and interviews. The competing colleges battle it out with each other as they put their marketing, finance and human resource skills to test because only one team can be declared victorious.
Impressions 2010 was held on the 16th of October, 2010 at the Auditorium – Fr. Agnel Ashram Verna,. The chief Guest for the inaugural function was Mr. Elinio Colaco. The Principal of Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Rev. Dr. Simão R. Diniz welcomed the chief Guest and exhorted the students to give of their best in the day long event. The chief guest in his address spoke of the edge the management graduates bring to an organization. The 5 colleges that participated in Impressions’ 10 were St. Xavier’s College, Saraswat College, MES College, DM’s College and Don Bosco College.
The theme for this year was “Ocean Quest- The search for the ultimate crew to sail beside Captain Quest”. The team were named after the high seas; Team Mediterranean, Team Caspian, Team Baltic Team Red and Team Arabian. The management skills of the participants were tested through various finance, human resource and marketing events. One member of each team was put through a number of tests before he could be declared as the best manager. A number of team building events were also held. In the words of the co-ordinator Lyanti Fernandes” This was all possible because of the support given by the Principal Rev. Dr. Simão R. Diniz, the event facilitator Mrs. Sandra D’ Mello and not to forget the hard work and efforts put in by the TYBBA.”
Mr. Anand Naik, Chairman of the Goa Management Association was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function . Mr. Anand Naik spoke from the wealth of his experience and advised the students to keep in touch with the changing trends in the industry. While Saraswat College took away the prizes for the finance and marketing events, DMC won the team building event. The first place for the human resource events was taken by MES, Vasco and the Best Manager Event was bagged by Xaviers College. The overall winners of Impressions 2010 were Saraswat College, Mapusa and the runners-up were DMC, Mapusa.
Impressions’ 2010 was a huge success and the college is set to better this event in the years to come.
