On the occasion of the 63rd Independence Day of India, the parish youth of St. John the Baptist gave a visual treat to the villagers through a beautiful rangoli before the altar.

The rangoli was done keeping in mind the twin celebration of Independence and the feast of Assumption of Our Lady. The rangoli was a combination of the Indian Map in tricolor and Mother Mary occupying the central position. The youth members worked under the guidance of one of the members, Mr. Andre D'Souza. The special effort was appreciated widely by all the parishioners and the parish priest made a special mention about the same.
