Novena of Fr Agnelo on November 10
 

Pilar: The novena in preparation for the  84th death anniversary of Fr Agnelo Fr Agnelo’s day will start from November 10. His Lordship Most Rev. Alwyn Barreto, Bishop of Sindhudurg will preside over the solemn high mass on November 19 at Pilar at 9:30 am.
Fr Hilario Fernandes sfx, Vice Postulator for the cause of beatification of Fr Agnelo, in his letter to the friends and devotees of Venerable Agnelo requested to pray earnestly for the canonization of Venerable Fr Agnelo. The theme for the celebration is ‘Focusing on the Virtuous life of Ven. Agnelo, let us renew our life.’

Fr Hilario in the letter stated that venerable Agnelo was gifted with many virtues and qualities which were manifested in his day to day life.  This year we are going to reflect on some of the sayings of Venerable Agnelo which are very relevant for our life as Christians today.
The novena masses will begin at 5.30, 6.45, 8.00, 9.15, 10.30 in the morning and 4.00, 5.15 & 6.15 in the evening. Every day the last mass at 6.15 pm will be celebrated in English. Each mass will be followed by special prayers over the sick.
Although the Fr Agnelo’s day is always celebrated on November 20, this year being  Sunday the day proper being the solemnity of Christ the King, the celebration is anticipated. END
