On a hot afternoon on the 10^th of March it was a Volley Ball Match that brought the Seminarians of Rachol Seminary to the Sub Jail Sada, Vasco compound to have a tryst with the inmates. Sr. Mary Jane and members of the Prison Ministry organized the event and welcomed the Priests and Seminarians to the Jail.

The inmates who had prepared the ground and the score board and cleaned up the premises introduced themselves and then the match began with Fr. Rameiro as Referee, Fr. Luis calling out the scores and Ryan Pinto at the Score Board. The Superintendent, Mr. Pednekar was present throughout and gave away the prizes while the Chief Guest was Fr. Denis from Rachol Seminary.

It was a match worth remembering for all, as it brought out the sportsmanship in both parties and no matter who won, it was a game well played. The inmates who were on home ground won the match in a close call of 23-25, 25-23 and then the last one was won by a big margin by the inmates. It was touch and go, for a while and nail biting till the end, comparable to many a world cup!!!The Man of the Match was Mr. Vinay who received a special prize. Snacks and a drink were sponsored by Rachol Seminary. The inmates proudly sported new sportswear and looked very professional in their shorts and lily white T shirts as did the Seminarians. 

The laud applause and cheering that went on throughout the games was evidence of the enthusiasm and high spirits of the inmates who thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. It helps the outside world to come in and show to the inmates and to the world around that these persons though they may be behind bars are still human beings and can be among the best in society if given that second chance.
