Football Fighters - St. John the Baptist, Benaulim
The Benaulim Parish Altar Servers hosted a friendly football match against the Carmona Parish. To mark a day of friendliness and fighting spirit of the freedom fighters on the Independence day there was a football match.
The match was marked by a lot of lost chances and physical endurance test on the young bodies of the future parish pillars. The first half was a sterile effort on the goals. The only two goals came in at the fag end of the match, both of which were scored by the visitors - Carmona.
The post match address was given by Fr. Agnelo, Parish Priest, inviting both the parishes' boys to build friendship and love for the daily mass and service of the altar.
Later, the tired bodies were served with snacks and hot coffee to keep them warm in the rains.
The Altar servers along with their parents and other little friends enjoyed the evening.
