The feast of Sao Joao was celebrated with traditional fervor in the village of Salvador do Mundo. The younger and the older generation were at their best displaying traditional aspects of the feast. May came wearing the copel’ flower crown’ and boys jumped in the wells to recollect the visit of Mary visiting her aunty Elizabeth.
