Whereas the Council of Deans has proposed that the present set-up of deaneries in our Archdiocese be re-structured with a reasonable number of parishes in each deanery;
Considering that the proposed re-structuring of the deaneries is in view of facilitating regular visits of the Deans to the parishes, which are necessary not only to coordinate the pastoral work in their own deanery but also to encourage and promote the pastoral animation of the individual parishes;
Having consulted the Diocesan Council of Priests, the College of Diocesan Consultors and other ecclesiastical bodies on the matter;
We do hereby, by the present Decree, re-structure the present set-up of deaneries, arranging the parishes of the Archdiocese in nineteen deaneries, as follows:
 
I. Aldona Deanery (8 Parishes)
        1. Aldona;  2. Calvim;  3. Moira;  4. Nachinola;  5. Olaulim; 
        6. Penha de França (Britona); 7. Pomburpa; 8. Salvador do Mundo.
 
II. Benaulim Deanery (9 Parishes)
        1. Benaulim (St. John the Baptist); 2. Benaulim (Holy Trinity); 3. Betalbatim;
        4. Carmona; 5. Cavelossim; 6. Colva; 7. Orlim; 8. Seraulim; 9. Varca.
 
III. Bicholim Deanery (7 Parishes)
        1. Assonora; 2. Bicholim; 3. Bodiem; 4. Sanquelim; 5. Sirsaim; 6. Tivim; 7. Valpoi.
 
IV. Calangute Deanery (8 Parishes)
        1. Calangute; 2. Candolim; 3. Nagoa; 4. Nerul; 5. Pilerne; 6. Reis Magos (Verem);
        7. Saligão; 8. Sinquerim (Linhares).
 
V. Canacona Deanery (8 Parishes)
        1. Agonda; 2. Angediva; 3. Batpale; 4. Canacona; 5. Chiplem; 6. Galgibaga;
        7. Loliem; 8. Sadolxem.
 
VI. Chinchinim Deanery (12 Parishes)
        1. Assolna; 2. Betul; 3. Cabo de Rama; 4. Canaguinim; 5. Chinchinim;
        6. Cotto de Fatorpa; 7. Cuncolim; 8. Dramapur; 9. Sarzora; 10. Tollecanto;
        11. Velim; 12. Veroda.
 
VII. Goa Velha Deanery (9 Parishes)

         8. Siridão; 9. Talaulim (Santana).
 
VIII. Mapuca Deanery (11 Parishes)

        7. Parra; 8. Pirna; 9. Revora; 10. Socorro; 11. Ucassaim.
 
IX. Margao Deanery (6 Parishes)

        5. Margão (Our Lady of Grace); 6. Navelim.
 
X. Mormugao Deanery (9 Parishes)

XI. Old Goa Deanery (11 Parishes)

XII. Panjim Deanery (9 Parishes)

XIV. Ponda Deanery (6 Parishes)

XV. Quepem Deanery (7 Parishes)

XVI. Raia Deanery (6 Parishes)
         1. Camurlim (Salcete); 2. Curtorim; 3. Loutolim; 4. Maina-Curtorim;
         5. Rachol; 6. Raia.
 
XVII. Sanguem Deanery (6 Parishes)
        1. Colem; 2. Dabal; 3. Rivona; 4. Sanguem; 5. Sanvordem; 6. Vaddem
 
XVIII. Siolim Deanery (8 Parishes)
        1. Anjuna; 2. Assagão; 3. Badem; 4. Camorlim; 5. Oxel; 6. Siolim; 7. Tropa;
        8. Vagator.
 
XIX.  Verna Deanery (9 Parishes)
        1. Cansaulim; 2. Consua; 3. Majorda; 4. Nagoa; 5. Nuvem; 6. Quelossim;
        7. Utorda; 8. Velsão; 9. Verna.
 
Besides the above nineteen deaneries, the Archdiocese has also one unit, similar to a Deanery known as the “Mission” of Daman, which includes also the territory of DIU.
 This Decree will come into force from June 1, 2012.
