Dear Readers,

Following the instructions of H. E. Archbishop-Patriarch, M. Rev. Filipe Neri Ferrão, the planned introduction ad experimentum of the Roman Missal ‘Missal Booklet’ in Konknni from the 1st Sunday of Advent, will not be implemented. 

This is in spite of an earlier announcement made, after due consultation with the Archbishop-Patriarch, at the Monthly Meeting of Priests (September 2011) or printed in Renovaçâo (Vol. XL, No. 9, Oct. 1-15 2011) to accept the pre-publication orders for the same.

So the present Konknni Missal will remain in force till the Konknni version is approved by the competent authorities. 

This decision was arrived at after the 62nd Executive Committee Meeting of the CCBI, held on 27th September 2011, discussed in detail the question of the release of the revised Roman Missal and its vernacular translations. 

This information was already conveyed to the priests at the Monthly Meeting of Priests (October 2011). It is repeated again for the sake of those who were not able to attend the same. Inconvenience is regretted.
