PASTORALITES TO PALAI DIOCESE, KERALA

 TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY LEADS TO THE CREDIBILITY OF A PRIEST

 “Transparency and accountability leads to the credibility of a priest”, this was a parting message of Fr. Thomas Olickal, the Parish Priest of the St. George Forane Church, Aruvithura in Palai diocese.

Seventeen priests from the Pastoral Institute, Old Goa visited Palai diocese in Kerela for the Pastoral Exposure, as part of their yearly programme: four members of the Staff and thirteen young and energetic ‘Pastoralites’.

The Directory of the Archdiocese of Goa & Daman Launched

 At a simple function during the workshop organized by the Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media (DCSCM, Goa) for the Parish Bulletin Editors, “The Directory of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman” for the year 2010-2011 has been launched at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Fatorda, at the hands of Fr. Andrew Pereira, Parish Priest of Benaulim (St. John the Baptist Church) and Fr. Savio D’Souza, Assistant to the Parish Priest of Cansaulim Church.

PRISON MINISTRY SUNDAY, AUGUST 8, 2010 - Caritas-Goa

                         THEME “TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD”

 The Prison Ministry Sunday was celebrated on August 8, 2010 at the HolySpiritChurch, Margao, Goa. This Sunday is the closest to the feast of St. Maximillian Kolbe, Patron, Prison  Ministry. He was a Polish priest who sacrificed his life for a fellow prisoner in the Concentration Camp during the Second World War.

Margao Deanery Pastors' Day - Graca, Margao

Margao Deanery Priests celebrated their Pastor's Day in Grace Church hall on 12th August 2010.

The function began with a short video clipping on the lives of St. John Mary Vianney and Blessed Jose Vaz, with a short reflection by Fr. Derick Fernandes. Thereafter, Fr. Cleto Pereira welcomed all the priests of Margao Deanery and other invitees and said that it was indeed a great pleasure to host this function. The Parish Priest, Fr. Cleto Pereira was instrumental in organizing this function in collaboration with catechists.
